Relaxing in Tortuga

Tortuga
This island, Cayo Herradura, is beautiful. The beach is fine white
sand and the colors of the water are dazzling. We are anchored with many
other boats, but it doesn't feel crowded at all. There are a few fishing
camps ashore, but little else. We walked to the other side of the island,
where the surf was pounding the shore. At the southeast corner, there are
reefs with fair snorkeling.
We will leave this evening for an overnight sail in the
light of a full moon to Los Roques.
