Photo: Garry with the Dorado he reeled in today. Fish for
dinner!
Although we're very busy on the boat,
there has not been a lot of excitement to date, but today Garry got out the
fishing gear. Shortly after noon, he hurled the line, with a pretty green
plastic squid on the hook, into the water, letting it go out about 50 yards with
the drag set pretty tightly. Almost instantly, a fish took the bait and
sped out another 200 yards with it. When Garry got it close to the boat,
we could see the beautiful green, blue and yellow colors of a dorado. We
filleted it and we are looking forward to a delicious fish dinner tonight.
Our winds overnight continued at 25 knots from the
ENE. The temperature is definitely climbing. We have 80 degrees
today and everyone is starting to shed the warm clothing. It still gets
cooler when the sun sets, but not nearly as cold as when we started.
All's well on board-
