Tom and friend, Keith, sailed Starboard Home from Cape
Canaveral to Oriental in May. The weather was cloudy with one front after
another coming off the east coast and threatening a major storm. After
passing Frying Pan Shoals, they were faced with a nasty thunderstorm with 40
knot winds and chose to hove to for 2 hours while the storm passed. They
made it back to the dock on May 8.
Starboard Home is now on the hard at the Hurricane Boat
Yard and will be there for the hurricane season. Tom & Peg are
planning their next trip - Newfoundland? Alaska?
