Good Day, My name is A.J.
Altonen of Ashtabula,Ohio. I am a avid sailor, but unfortunately it is only as
crew/helmsman on my good friends Tartan 38. I just can not afford to purchase my
own yet, but am working hard. I have three beautiful daughters under the age of
5. I love to read your site and others about cruising. I have plans in my head
to cruise, some day. I take it that you may also hold a ham ticket. My call is
KC8EPA. I frequently listen to the maritime moble net at 14.300mgz. I look
forward to reading more about your adventures. Take care and God Bless, 73's A.J.

Peg & Tom, I am awed by
the beauty of your home page, What a great idea and so perfect for all of us who
are living vicariously through your experiences. Many thanks. I have invited
many of your friends Tom, all friends of Bill W's to come to my 25th birthday on
Sunday, April 14th at St Thomas Church. We have put together a dinner party the
night before because all of our children will come to town (amazing) and a bunch
of the grandchildren. Wish you two could be here too. If you can check our web

Hi to you both, I found
your website while looking at the Valiant owner's page. I congratulate you on
your wonderful travelogue. I just finished the 2001 entry and thoroughly enjoyed
it. I especially like the many pictures you included, particularly those of the
harbors and ruins you saw. I look forward to 2002! My wife and I retired in Nov,
2001 and have recently purchased a 1980 Valiant 37, "Skate." We're her
third owner(s) and look forward to sailing to the horizons and enjoying the
cruising lifestyle. I wish you continued good sailing and look forward to
meeting you both someday, if our paths cross. Thanks for the good read! Bob

Your version sounds more fun. Your web page is OUTSTANDING!!!H.P. Fletcher Comments

Your website is easy to
read and maneuver through. My name is Louise Huckaby and my sailing partner is
Chris McCurry. We own the s/v "Landover" a Valient 32 and are
preparing her for our world circum- navigation leaving San Francisco in the
Summer of 2004 heading south to Mexico, Central America, Galapagos then west to
the Marquesis and all of the South Pacific; continuing to New Zealand,
Australia, Africa (around the horn and up into Europe; back to the US and
Caribbean, then through the Panama Canal home. We both live in Fair Oaks
California (that's near Sacramento, California). This is a very rough
description of our plans, as we will probably be modifying them as we go. We
plan to "stay gone" as long as we are enjoying the cruising life (4
years to ? ? ? ? whenever). Thank you for sharing your cruising life with all of
us. We'll keep in touch. Comments

Hi Peg & Tom: Last
night George Schenck gave me your website address. I'm going to enjoy reading
the "archives" - great reporting and photography. I have wonderful
memories of our cruising in then-Yugoslavia in summer 1979. I pulled our Log to
compare comments about Hvar, Trogir, Split, etc. There were very few
international cruising yachts in those days. The currency was the dinar. The
plum preserves were world famous! Keep well and safe...Maureen Anderson dinars. Comments
Its Sunday night and I have
had a good sail on Lake Travis, Tx and spent the better part of 3 hours in the
most enjoyable venture--the reading of your "logs". There is no doubt
you are wonderful people--enjoying what you are doing and have done. Your
writings are wonderful and will make for a good dream tonight. Bless you and
yours and may all your sea's be right. Glenn West, Lago Vista, Texas (glennwest@assetins.com)
