This page displays a short 'Update' of our current
location and activities between postings of the full trip reports. While on passage we will post daily logs of
activities on board and update the picture using the Winlink onboard email
system. The "Latest Position" button (above) is also maintained so
that you can see our position.
UPDATE May 31, 2004
Tropea, Italy
Tom and friend (and transatlantic crew in 1999) Garry Oakley 'escaped'
from Sibari and sailed Starboard Home around the boot of Italy to Tropea, Italy.
Tom will further move north to Vibo Valentia to leave the boat to return stateside
and join Peg. She is in Albuquerque awaiting the arrival of granddaughter
Anastasia.
When Peg and Tom return to Italy in July they will continue up the
Italian coast, across the French Riviera and to Barcelona, Spain by September. Then they will
prepare for a east-to-west transatlantic crossing this winter.
