We cleared out of Bermuda at 1:50pm(16:50utc) local time yesterday, Saturday June 19th. In addition to Peg's Trip Updates we will try to send out a short and sweet daily report like this each day.

Comment: Another good day! The wind just keeps blowing out of the South West at 18 to 22. The forecast is for more of the same. A low pressure trough east to west just to the north and the building Azores high to the south east keep us in a good wind gradient at 1022mb.

Comment: Another good day! Still blowing out of the south west at 18to 22. We are staying south to avoid a cold front which may or may not get to us. We have about a dozen boats running along the 34 North Super Highway to the Azores.

Comment: Both weather routers, Herb in Canada and Rafael in Spain gave the Ok to turn North East toward the Azores last night. Ran the drifter overnight and set the Spinnaker at dawn.

Comment: Both weather routers, Herb and Rafael say the Bermuda - Azores high is establishing along 34 - 35 North so we are digging north. We ran the spinnaker the last 24 hrs and passed two boats in our 'mid-Atlantic radio net'.

Comment: Departed Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores yesterday forenoon bound for Atlantic Spain and have been sailing North East to set up for an expected wind shift to the North East later in the week. We are both doing well but getting our 'sea legs'.

Comment: Light winds continue - the result of the 'Azores High'. We are looping to the north to be set up for the 'Portuguese Trades' (force 6&7 NE) which should be in place as we get further east.

Comment: Weak 'cold' front passed early in the am but did not produce much wind but the new direction allows us to sail now.

Comment: We now have made our 'Northing' and will run down this latitude. 440 Nautical miles to Ria de Arosa.

Comment: Now we're moving! We have been power reaching at 7+ knots for the last 10 hours with Yankee, staysail and almost full main. 298 Nautical miles to Ria de Arosa.

Comment: The wind diminished and backed this morning in advance of the weak front du jour. 143 Nautical miles to Ria de Arosa. ETA tomorrow p.m.

Comment: Sighted land at 10:20z. We had a fine sail in to complete our crossing. And so to bed.
